How do I enter?
Registering online is the only way to enter the Sun Run, and it takes just a few minutes. Begin by reading the following important information and then clicking the ‘Enter Now’ button (once entries open). Payment online is by credit card only. If you do not own or have access to a credit card, Australia Post have a facility where you can purchase a pre-paid debit card that can be used for online purchases.

Which start group should I enter?
Seeded - For runners who can complete the course in sub 22 minutes (men) and sub 25 minutes (women). Runners must either auto-qualify based on previous Fairfax Events results or by emailing us with links to other results achieved within the last 12 months.
Preferred - For runners who can complete the course in sub 25 minutes (men) and sub 28 minutes (women). Runners must either auto-qualify based on previous Fairfax Events results or by emailing us with links to other results achieved within the last 12 months.
The Sydney Morning Herald Blue - For runners who aim to complete the course in sub 40 minutes.
Yellow - Runners and joggers
Orange - Joggers, walkers, fun groups and pushers.

13-15
16-19
20-29

70& Over
All Age category results will be listed online with the overall result listings.
There are prizes for first, second and third, male and female overall place getters only.
All entrants will be able to download a finishers’ certificate. Each entrant will also receive a finishers’ medal on race day.
Teams
Every person must enter the race as an individual. You may also enter yourself in a team with friends, relatives or work colleagues if you like. Each team requires a minimum of three competitors. Winners are awarded by the fastest three finishers.
To start a team the first person to enter should simply follow the team prompts after clicking “enter now”. Each subsequent member can then enter and search for that team during the entry process. The administrator will be emailed with a unique log-in page where they can see all members listed.
Corporate teams of over 25 members where the company is paying can be set-up in a similar way. The team administrator must create the team by following the prompts after clicking “enter now”. Once a team is created the administrator should email sunrun@fairfaxmedia.com.au with the team name and contact details to request to become a corporate “pay later” group. The administrator will then be able to see and pay for, via their unique log-in page, all of their members and have access to tax receipts. IMPORTANT: No places are secured until paid for in full.
Team results will be listed online in order of time. All team members will receive a finishers’ medal on race day.
